Gramps called me ToeToe, Tora, Tori, and Possum. He would sing 'ToeToe look like a Possum' whenever we were together!
Mine was Wighead and then Oldman Young I believe it was the third time meeting him I had dreads (when cut off) Oldman Young.
Jap, 1979, he said I set on a boat with all Japanese at Geauga Lake one time.
Gramps named me "Old Lady Stacy" for as young as I can remember back. Whenever I would see him, even as an older adult, he would still call me " Old Lady Stacy"
He used to call me Little Mama because I was so skinny. And looked so much like my mom who is Big Mama.
He called me Rabbitfoot because when I tore my meniscus in my left leg, he saw that I was limping, or "hopping" all of the time. Mini-Me and Midget becuase I was short, I still am, for all my childhood until I grew. Peanuthead because he sad my head was shaped like a peanut.
Little Joe - He was Big Joe
Scrapman Joe - I was working on a project and made a back scratcher/grabber out of scraps
Groundhog - I have my grandfather's name for my middle name. His name was Groundhog
Holla-more 2 - I cried a lot when I was a baby
Whenever he would come and visit my grandmother Ruby Bolden we would always sit at the table while they have their morning coffee and he would always say there's Teen Teen.
I always wore my clothes like the character in the Popeye cartoon when I was little.
I was told I was given this name because I was born with no hair and looked like a little birdie. To this day only 3 people call me bird My Uncle J who has left me. My brother Mike and one of my favorite cousin Larry Jo.
He called me that because I didn’t like combing my hair when I was younger.
Squirt is my special name for obvious reasons.
I got my first nick name when I was born. Gramps said, "I came home from work and bought time I changed my clothes and got to the hospital, I was already born. And I named you missie because I missed your birth. And your gonna be missie til you die."
Then as I got older I was thin and my face look huge, and he started calling me Jimmy Durante He would chant, ha chi chi cha that nose of mine. I would cry. So he later started calling me Mz. Magoo. That stuck for a long time. Then he started calling be the duck because he said when I walked i waddled like a duck. We later teased each on a daily basis. He called me a name and I would say wellbyour the grandfather of it. Then he would reply, no such thang. Gramps gave my twins the nic name the wiggles because they never sat still. Later one twin was called wiggler and the other twin was four eyes.
My nickname was Nuddy Buddy because everyday after school I would ask Gramps for a Nutty Bar. I was in elementary school when he started calling me that.
My special nickname began as “Bug” when I was a child, but materialized into “Bud” as I grew and became so cool. He also called me “Bigfoot”, and I named him “Mr. Foots”.
Gramps gave me this name, because when he saw me for the first time, I reminded him of an Indian baby girl, wrapped up in a blanket.
I was a little boy calling man. I guess he didn't like it, so he turned it around on me.
Probably because along with the McDaniel kids, there are so many of us and we are always busy with a plan.
Long time ago he was from my hometown.
Grasshopper was one name he gave me in 10th grade. I tried out for the track team without my parents permission. Only Gramps knew. He told me to get to his house before four (the same time marching band practice let out) and he’ll take me home before my mom would know. Tryouts took longer than expected. I ran to my grandparents house, but to my surprise he said I was too late and I better run my butt on home. The next day he made fun of me and said “you were running so fast, the only thing I can see we’re those long skinny legs coming down the street looking like a grasshopper!”
I was called the wiggler because I never sat still. So when I went downstairs with gramps I did my specail wiggle dance then Gramps would say, alright now.
